Amsterdam administration is going to ban tourists from buying cannabis in city coffee shops. Amsterdam city center suffers from too much tourist flow at the moment. This step is aimed at struggle with this problem. A statistical study found that most young tourists (57%) visit Amsterdam mainly because of coffee shops.

We believe this is an interesting method of fighting overtourism – to deprive tourists, who have little interest in historical, natural and architectural values, of one of their main reasons for traveling.
