Cooperation in Smart Tourism
Taiwanese entrepreneurs are planning to cooperate to develop Taipei Smart City.
Modern travel industry requires cooperation from all participants of the chain service-tourist. Individual startups may win awards and grants but without support and cooperation with DMOs and businesses they can’t provide systematic solutions.
As a rule, travel startups have difficulty selling their services or products. In this case, it is a good experience for all DMOs, when start-ups are assisted in entering a market where various travel businesses such as hotels, rental companies, etc. can be their clients. On the one hand, it leads to the development of young technology businesses, and on the other, it takes tourism to a new technological level.
We fully agree with Vincent Lu’s statement that “smart tourism involves close cooperation among hotels, department stores, airlines and other transportation service providers, innovative products and services”.
