Restarting the Vietnam Tourism
While many DMOs reduce their online activity and confusedly play a waiting game, other DMOs are preparing for a quick restart of their destination.
For example, Vietnam’s DMO instead of cutting expenses, increased investment in smart digital technology in order to better serve tourists when quarantine will be lifted. They plan to create an intelligent tourism management center to digitize the tourism industry during and after the pandemic.
Apparently, this is justified, because the introduction of technology is never easy and quick. If they do it now, everything will be ready for the season.
The national tourism administration believes that if the pandemic will be under control in May, the domestic tourism industry could recover by the end of this year.
This position is certainly a positive example for other DMOs.
