Tourism and Women Over 55

One of the trends of modern tourism is increase in the proportion of travelers age 55+. Moreover, many marketers have become very attentive specifically to this segment. Their interest is due to the fact that according to statistics, people of this age have more free time, have considerable savings, travel more thoughtfully, visit theaters and museums. In the context of modern tourism problems, such travelers are also interesting in view of the fight against overtourism, as they mostly stay at hotels instead of more budget placements.

The group is especially interesting in this segment – women traveling alone 55+. In connection with International Women’s Day March 8, Riviera Travel conducted a study on women traveling alone.
