Topic: Tourism Day 2019: Digital data as currency: is it all free or just free?

Digitalization. Social change has been on everyone’s lips for a decade, and yet it sometimes feels like it’s only just beginning. Smartphones and tablets are in the hands of all guests, Alexa and Siris are the contact persons of our vacationers. The expectations of travel service providers are higher than ever before, as is the need for an ubiquitous digital presence.

But that’s not all, it’s just as important for the industry that the vision for digitalization and the future of tourism is right.

Modern tourism requires not only digital developments, but also digital promotion. At the 29th Tourism Day, attention was paid to areas of digitalization that currently affect the entire federal state, infrastructure, information, personal data and mobility.
