Karma.

Food apps are very popular nowadays, and it seems that every day appears a new one. It means that competition level is very high. A Swedish startup Karma was founded in 2016. Its main goal is to reduce food waste. Currently, the world is facing the problem of food overproduction. We are wasting one third of all food. Karma creates a community with negative attitude to food waste. The idea is to connect surplus food from retailers to consumers for a lower price. As a result, users eat great food for less and businesses receive an additional revenue stream — all while together reducing food waste.

Unfortunately, Karma doesn’t work in all countries. But while using the app we noticed its quick response and good interface. We also checked some food points, together with menu each of them has a map location, contact info and user rating. In general, it is an excellent startup, we are sure that it will develop to the worldwide level.

Also, this service can be useful for smart tourists as well, since, on the one hand, it allows tourists to save on food, and on the other hand, it significantly reduces the amount of not used food, because tourists create an additional, previously unaccounted demand for food .
