GREEN DESTINATIONS 2022 FUTURE OF TOURISM SUMMIT
26th to 29th September 2022
Hosted by the City of Athens, under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO)
After 2 years of online conferences, we are pleased to announce that our annual flagship event will take place in person.
This year’s conference will take place from 26 to 29 September and will be hosted by the City of Athens at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel in Athens.
This allows us all to come together in a unique setting and discuss the path towards a responsible future of tourism.
You’ll be excited to explore this diverse and historic site and beyond with several post-conference tour options on September 30th and October 1st.
The conference is partnering with the Future of Tourism Coalition, which will complement the conference with the Future of Tourism Summit on 29 September. The day will bring together destinations, communities and the tourism industry in the pursuit of climate resilience and the fight against climate change.
Like previous Global Green Destination Days, this event will bring together sustainability professionals, destinations and tourism councils through best practices to support peer learning and discover initiatives, practical tools and solutions for sustainable tourism destinations.
This year, organizers aim to deliver engaging panel discussions, hear inspiring stories of best practice, be creative in collaborative workshops, and, like every year, celebrate certified and award-winning destinations and present the top 100 sustainability stories of 2022.
Join tourism professionals at the Green Destinations 2022 Future of Tourism Summit in Athens and be part of a real journey towards a responsible future.
