November 20-21 was the Day of tourism in Germany.
As elsewhere, it was noted that the world is changing much faster than the tourism industry, so the main topic was the digitalization of the industry.
Moreover, not only the tourism business is changing – the tourist himself, his habits and requirements are changing more.
However, the introduction of digital technologies and their use by ordinary tourists has been and remains a big problem.
What to do about this was discussed in panel sections and reports, which will contribute to a better understanding of what destinations and tourism businesses should do to improve the tourism experience and meet the requirements of the times.
Our company also took part in this event and received a significant feedback about the need for digital transformations in the tourism sector.
